It's another interesting year of silverbacksnakes.io 🐍
It's been an interesting year in economics. We've experienced even higher inflation. Silver has broken $30 for good. Gold appears to be breaking new highs at ~$2,700 USD. Inflationary policies are in vogue.
I cleaned up my mess of a code base to be better able to add new features quickly. I've also switched from Angular to the more popular React. It is all paying off.
I've added the Shanghai price chart for gold and silver. Check it out here. It was requested by friends at r/wallStreetSilver. You can see any strangeness between the prices here in the US and over there.
It appears a lot of the price scrapers for a lot of websites broke such as metalmarkup.com and also comparesilverprices.com, and even my website (until I fixed it). I think the best website with various prices is findbullionprices.com. I plan on expanding my website to build something like findbullionprices.com.
I also wanted to complete a small video game based on the American Revolutionary war and tomatoes. It will be a game that will be a free 2d web game. I envision it to be a mix between a Total War game with some lite RPG elements. Maybe I am being overly ambitious, but we'll see how far I get.
I wanted to add the remaining metals metrics from COMEX. I have the files but haven't been too motivated.
Lastly, I wanted to create infrastructure to be able to gather users and send them metals information.
I'm looking forward to another year of metals numbers 🐍
